If your song lasts 3 minutes, then again, the total cost depends on the work involved to realize an animation for it. That includes the graphic design research and development, drawings of character(s) and elements involved in the scenario, the storyboarding, the modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lightings, shadows, whatever else that needs alot of testing and adjustments for renderings of final scenes and final compostitions. Before working on the modeling stage, you have to validate the entire graphic research and storyboard/scenario for your music video.
If you already have your own graphic references and storyboard/scenario, then we can take things further to bring your dream animation to reality, and again the cost depends on the complexity of the work involved to make the 3d production.
Let's take 'Visions In Space' as an example : A 3D music video that lasts approximatly 4 minutes, considering the work involved and time spent to produce it, the total cost for this particular 3d production would reach a minimum of £3000. Knowing that it took us 5 months of hard work, and almost blew all our week-ends off...
However, there can be a discount to the final cost.
If it's possible for us to have a listen to your song 1st before anything, we would greatly appreciate it. Having at least the song in hand, (and maybe some references of your choice), then we will be able to give you the final cost and time needed to realize it for you.
